Status of residence when taking a leave of absence

Status of residence "Student" is given to those who are enrolled in an educational institution in Japan and are engaged in educational activities. Therefore, if you take a leave of absence or withdraw from the university, you cannot continue to stay in Japan with the status of residence "Student". Also, activities other than that allowed by the status (part-time jobs) are not permitted.
