Lecture by Nobel Prize in Chemistry, Professor Tanaka

Professor Koichi TANAKA who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2002 “for the development of methods for identification and structure analyses of biological macromolecules” gave a lecture on November 7 in front of an audience including students and professors. The event brought together about 360 people. Professor TANAKA graduated from the School of Engineering of Tohoku University in 1983 with a bachelor degree in electrical engineering and was working at Shimadzu Corporation at the time of his discovery (1985) that earned him the Nobel Prize.
