Overseas training has been held in the "flying type EGGS project" conducted in Tohoku University in the schedule of 21 to 30 March as part of the activities of the 2014 fiscal year. Selected 15 high school students, university students and a high school teacher as mentors, and university faculty staffs including the faculty of Engineering visited Riverside STEM Academy (RSA) high school and University of California, Riverside (UCR). They participated scientific laboratory training and various student exchange activities at City of Riverside in the United States.

 

The training was conducted for the purpose of having a strong mind for scientific research and a view to the world through various cross-cultural experiences.

 

Tohoku University and UCR have many exchange activities and City of Riverside has the sister city relationship with Sendai City for long years. There was a courtesy visit to Mayor during the stay, and the students hand the personal letter from Mayor Okuyama of Sendai City.
