Start of TESP 2015

The Tohoku University Engineering Summer Program (TESP) in robotics has just started on July 27th. This year's edition has gathered at the School of Engineering more than 50 international students of 26 different nationalities.

During the following 2 weeks, the Summer Program will propose various lectures taught in English by world-class professors and research activities within leading laboratories.

In addition, TESP will be a chance for the participants to immerse in Japanese culture. Indeed, the Summer Program includes also a field trip and cultural activities such as kimono dressing and tea ceremony. During the excursion to Shiroishi city, the participants will paint their own kokeshi doll, climb into the Shiroishi castle and discover a Samurai residence after testing local Umen noodle.

Besides, summer in Sendai offers traditional nationwide renowned events that participants will enjoy during their free time. The most famous one is the Tanabata festival that they will discover walking around the streets of Sendai.
