Cultural exchanges between Qatar and Tohoku University have been once more fostered with the organisation of a Science Camp from November 22th until 27th. The Qatari delegation was composed of 15 students and several supervisors among which members of the Qatar Friendship Fund. The Science Camp proposed several activities such as workshops, laboratory tour of the School of Engineering and factory tour of private companies. It has also been a chance for the Qatari delegation to experience Japanese culture. The students could experience special sports such as Sumo, Kendo and Judo in cooperation with the Tohoku University sport clubs.
