◎研究内容
I work as an Assistant Professor in Space Robotics at Tohoku University in Japan. My primary focus involves the advancement of intelligent, modular and reconfigurable robots that can collectively work in an unknown environment with minimal human intervention. These systems include robots of different physical forms and mobility types such as wheeled, limbed and hybrid mobility. I work on designing the hardware as well as developing machine learning algorithms for these robots to be responsive and cooperative. The aim is to have self-evolving multi-agent systems that can adapt to perform diverse tasks, and transfer acquired skills among the agents. This will ultimately facilitate efficient exploration and resource utilization to realize sustainable human activities on planetary surfaces.
